PC Care 247 PC Care 247 dell.pccare247.com Misleading, dishonest, coercive , Internet Gurgaon, Internet
I wish that I found this site before I erroneously called PC Care 247. My PC Care 247 review is long, but it is an abridged version to the experience in its entirety.
I thought that it was a Dell hot line. Like Marie I was repeatedly misinformed by this company. Her story is completely verifiable. My text will not accurately describe how horrible my experience with this company was simply because I will not spend any more of my life thinking about them after I am through typing this.  I was continually up sold by an untrustworthy manager named Zahoor. I was in a rush to get out the door but Zahoor told me that my computer problem was so serious that I needed to cancel my dinner plans and speak with a technician right away. When the technician called me back, the first thing that I asked him (before receiving any type of service) was whether or not this could be put off until after the weekend. He quickly responded that it could in fact wait. At this point I had no trust in the company and did not want to do business so I hung up and called Zahoor back. He told me that my credit card would not be charged and that I did not have to participate in their service. This whole time I still thought that I was dealing with Dell computers. I was never greeted with a welcome such as PC Care 24 7. Of course when I checked my credit card bill a week later there was a charge for 299.95. I promptly called back and demanded a refund. After being shuffled around from department to department (took about 2 hours) I was told that I would get a call back from a manager in the sales department, Mansha, (Name is most likely spelled incorrectly). She did in fact call me back but made no progress towards a refund. It was clear that someone was standing behind her telling her what to say. At this point I had been hung up on, cursed at, and yelled at, so I asked for her to spell her name and give a call back number in case we got disconnected. She gave me a completely different number than I had ever called before and hung up on me before spelling her name. I was never called back. At this point I was furious and I called back to speak with a manager. After about 30 minutes I was told by a manager, Jeshawn (Name is most likely spelled incorrectly) that I would receive a full refund and that he would call me back in 5 minutes to confirm my refund and that I would receive an e-mail confirming this within 24 hours. He never called me back and I never received an e-mail. So I called back again an hour later and spoke with Nick who told me that I would get the confirmation e-mail within 24 hours. 24 hours later I had no confirmation e-mail. I got back in touch with Jeshawn. He apologized for not calling me back the day before. He said that he did not call me back because his shift ended and he went home. There was absolutely no progress made on my refund and if I had not called back it would not have been reversed.
Fast forward through another 3 hours of me wasting my time, I was told by Jeshawn's manager, Steven, that he would have to review my case to see if I was eligible for a partial refund. He also told me that he would call me back. I tried to calmly express my frustration to him and was constantly interrupted. Iwas told things like You have waited all this time, 10 more minutes won't kill you. Please keep in mind by this point I had already spent about 7 hours on the phone trying to get this resolved. He also told me that we have over a million customers world-wide who disagree with your opinion that we run a bad business. I can't understand how that is even possible with service like this. At this point I will stop my rant before I have a stroke thinking about this absolutely horrid experience. If you are considering using PC Care 247, don't!Don't ever call this place. Save yourself about 10 hours.

PC Care 247 PC Care 247 dell.pccare247.com Misleading, dishonest, coercive , Internet Gurgaon, Internet
i unknowingly called these jokers too thinking it was Toshiba. by a stroke of good intuition or luck there was enough that didn't seem "quite right" about these guys (especially the pressure sales tactics and instead of tackling my iniital problem, trying to sell me a program) that I begged off saying I had to discuss any purchases with my husband first. I then searched for reviews of this company adn found many bad reviews and realized it was in fact a scam. I then called the real Toshiba support number and informed them of the scam. problem is they are the first ones to appear on the google search results list and it is all very misleading. I remember questioning Amir at pccare asking "Do you work for Toshiba or for PCCARE?" to which he replied: We work for Toshiba and support Toshiba as well as Dell etc..." I'm glad I checked them out before purchasing. I thought it they were legit they would allow me to come back to them to purchase what i needed, but if they are scammers they would insist I buy NOW before I could rethink things or check them out. They called me back the next day to try to close the deal and I gave them a peice of my mind and hung up on them.

PC Care 247 PC Care 247 dell.pccare247.com Misleading, dishonest, coercive , Internet Gurgaon, Internet
This company needs to be brought to justice by the FCC and prevented from ripping off any more unsuspecting pc users. Under the false guise of representing McAfee, they told me that my netbook was in immediate danger of being hacked and that I needed their $299.95 service without delay to prevent a catastrophic intrusion into my computer files. I panicked and accepted their lie and agreed to the service only to discover later that PCCare has no affiliation with McAfee and that there was no evidence of any attempt to hack my computer..
I have reported this scam to my credit card company and they are currently investigating while holding back on payment to PCCare. A credit card customer service rep told me that I might still be responsible for paying PCCare because I agreed to accept their service. But my acceptance was based on a lie to about a non-existent threat made by a company that misrepresented its role as McAfee's tech support. So, should my credit company mistakenly determine that I am liable to PCCare, I will continue to dispute the charge until I prevail.
If you need tech support, be very careful to check that you are not dealing with PCCare. They are dishonest, disreputable and disgusting. Buyer beware!

PC Care 247 dell-support.pccare247.com.au Misleading, inciting panic, verbally asking security details for credit card. Internet
For basic details on PC Care 247 (as a scammy service) scroll to final paragraph. My computer was crashing and behaving strangely. I googled 'dell support' and called this company after viewing a very misleading link that appears at the top of the google search page (dell-support.pccare247.com.au). I spoke with PC Care 247 employee ?Kavita Verma - I do not know if I can verify this name. At the beginning of the conversation I asked ?Kavita if the number I had called was the online support service offered by Dell for their customers. She told me it was. I have now discovered that PC Care 247 is not affiliated with Dell in any direct service relation. ?Kavita asked for my Dell computers service tag and my name. This further implied the false message that PC Care 247 was some official service provider for Dell this is not the case. After remotely inspecting my computer, ?Kavita stirred a great deal of panic in me. Telling me that my computer had over 1000s viral infections and a hacker file present. Through a remote sharing system she showed me the apparent hacker file ?csrss.exe which she asked me to google whilst on the phone with her. Google links tell you that ?csrss.exe can be a Trojan file unless located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. In the panic of it all I paid no attention to the latter detail (that it can be a harmless and genuine windows system file). At this point ?Kavita said I needed to upgrade my service subscription so more advanced technicians could work on this very threatening problem and save my computer and security. I agreed to the purchase. I entered the details of my my fathers AMEX card (with his permission) online to purchase a service upgrade. Suspiciously the security number would not fit in the online box. ?Kavita told me I could provide it verbally over the phone. I should not have done this and my father has observed an unrecognisable billing of $15 from the name ?David Keeping. The card has been cancelled. I suspect his credit card information has been used illegally and if the card had not been cancelled would continue to be charged in small inconspicuous amounts. Having upgraded my warranty (a warranty that I never originally had with PC Care 247, but was falsly told I did) I was able to talk with ?more qualified technicians that would be able to fix my computer. An ?Amar Mishra worked on my computer through remote screensharing for about an hour and said the problems were fixed. He contradicted ?Kavita in saying that there were 2 viral file when I asked about hackers and the thousands of viral files (mentioned by Kavita) he could not confirm this. Soon after he ?fixed my computer it crashed again, displaying identical behaviour that initiated my concern. For seven hours in total, over the past two days I have been engaged with PC Care 247 staff, trying to fix the problem. It is obvious that they are not qualified and do not have the skill set to fix my computer. Over the sessions they became increasingly despondent and now will not answer my calls. There is now no service at all, anytime, from the (dodgy) 24x7 service I have paid for. In my belief that PC Care 247 are fraudulent I do not want them to ever access my computer again. I am concerned that they have installed suspicious software on my computer and we be having this inspected by the proper Dell service. To cut a long story short, PC Care 247 lied about who they were, mislead me into thinking my computer was under serious threat, failed to fix the problems I described, and I suspect have used my fathers credit card details inappropriately and without our knowledge. I feel that it is very risky for anyone to get involved with the company.

PC Care 247 dell-support.pccare247.com.au Misleading, inciting panic, verbally asking security details for credit card. Internet
My story is identical to 260405 apart from the fact that I actually rang a 1800 PCCare247 number only today and was told I had reached Dell Technical Support. I have paid out $1350 for a 3 years cover on my 4 computers, but after spending nearly 2 full days on the phone, we still have the same problem. I would just like to be able to do something about it. I think I will try and contact Dell again.

PC Care 247 Mis leading information about being service rep for HP Vancouver, British Columbia Canada
A few weeks ago I was experiencing a problem with very new HP Lap top so I searched the web and come up with PC Care 247 un beknwnst to me I thiough they were connected to HP. The technician immedialley decided ai had avery serious problem as I had too many rundll files in the lap top and he proceded to scan the lap top with various pieces of software and after 4 or 5 hpours he disappeared but not before telling me that I could also get my PC repaired. I then mentioned I was not going to pay a cent until I saw it all in writing by emial. Anyway he disappeared and someother tech came on line and continued to lie to me and was tryint to convince me the lap top was OK and my PC also was OK. Well thelap top went back to the vendor for a full refund as it has now become absoluley useless. The PC was close to useless , in fact I lostr my availability to access my on line banking. I eatrted calling them when I sa a $439 charge on my VISA, by the ay RBC VISA refused to help me, Thanks RBC, i called somebody who had trouble with the english language and got nowere with PC Care. I sent several email. Finally about 10days ago I received a phone call at about 6AM, I was woke up, with somebody telling me my $439 crdit would show up shortly on my Visa account. So far nothing. Trying to phone the New York Number , I get no answer, I guess they are all in India dreaming up some new scam. Any way at this time I out of pocket $439 canadian.

PC Care 247 Mis leading information about being service rep for HP Vancouver, British Columbia Canada
Like the above user, this week, I had the most horrifying experience with this PC Care 247 from India, which I was told they were the support arm for HP. If you google, thats what it says. My intent was for HP to repair my wireless printer which I have had many problems not being able to print wirelessly. After horrifying me that both of my laptops were hacked, that they were in poor shape security wise, they requested $350 each to repair both latops which I paid on my Vise. It took them 10 to 12 hrs screwing around. They took over my laptops (mind you with my permission for ease to figure things out). At the end they downloaded 2 free anti virus and malware software. That was it. I tried several times contacting HP, but they take forever to pickup the phone. Just furious to hell.
If anyone knows how to go after HP for this, please reply to this comment.

PC Care 247 deceptive, inducing fear, threating doom, destruction, urgency, railroading, rapid speech, no time to think India
I was trying to install McAfee on my computer and couldn't use my password, so I first emailed them, then called them with a number I got from Google. A man came on and said my problem was so severe it had to go to a special division of McAfee, "Level 3 Technicians". He added that it was so bad, Office Depot or the Geek Squad couldn't fix it. Not even buying a new computer would fix it, BUT he could fix it. He ran screens on my computer showing that I had 80 programs running even as we spoke. He showed me lists that "proved" 4 foreign countries and 7 states had people using my signal as we spoke. He talked so fast, I couldn't think. He said I could take out this special protection for 2 years for $400.00 or 5 years for $500. I think I was in panic mode and I was rapidly calculating other options. He was very insistent and really scared me and convinced me of all sorts of impending dangers. Because I had called the McAfee number I had gotten from Google, I thought I was dealing with a reputable company, so, dumb me, I said OK. Now our computer is unusable and we have spent HOURS of 4 of the last 5 days sitting in front of it talking to India. I am physically sick. I am praying that my credit card can help me with this scam. As a retired school teacher, I cannot afford a mistake like this. Caveat Emptor.

PC Care 247 laptops.support.pccare247.net Did not fix problem and wanted to charge, misleading that they represent Sony products on Internet Ad laptop
The cursor on my Sony laptop, froze and I looked up Sony computer support and found PC Care 24/7 I thought they were a legitimate Sony representative so I called them. I told them my Sony was under warranty and asked of they could help me, the gentlemen said sure but it will cost you $59.00, because it is a driver problem that is not covered under your warranty. I asked them if they worked for Sony and they said yes, so I was angry but agreed to pay the money, and the gentlemen told me that my credit card would not be charged if the were able to resolve the issue. Well after talking to multiple technicians with foreign accents that I could not understand half the time, and 6 hours on the phone, they informed me that they were unable to fix the problem, but when I reminded them that I was told that I would not be charged they put me on hold and a supervisor came on and told me because they did some work on the Drivers that I would be charged. I was furious, and told them I would cancel any payment and that I had tape recorded my earlier conversation and this was a breach of a verbal contract. He put me on hold for 15 minutes with the most ear piercing music and came back on and said the charge was taken off my account. At this point I have many concerns: They shadowed my computer so could they get my passwords?, They have my credit card information so could they charge to my account? I talked to my bank and they said to cancel the credit card in case they charge and I want to dispute the charge, which is a pain, because I have automatic payments for bills coming out of this card. Today I talked to a legitimate Sony rep that fixed my computer over the phone in a matter of 15 minutes, and they said they would flag this company and report them to their headquarters for further investigation. I am really nervous about cancelling my credit card but even more nervous about them making false charges or hacking my computer somehow, has anyone had a similar experience with this company? PC Care 247 posing as Dell support Internet
After googling for Dell support, I took the very first link at the top of the search page I got and called the phone number listed on it. After telling me my brand new Dell laptop had been hacked, I gove them my information and they proceeded to clean my computer up. Suspicious after they were through, I went to my Dell account (duh) and contacted the real Dell support, and found out PC Care 247 is not Dell related. I got my bank account cleaned out, leaving me with 18 cents.
