I just pumped exactly 5 gallons of gas into a US DOT gas container, the gas station meter read that I had pumped 5.223 gallons.

This slight overage on the amount of gas purchased per gallon, multiplied by a few thousand gallons will add up to a significant amount.

THIS IS DISHONEST AND MUST BE REPORTED.
